Projekte sind sehr vielfältig. Das spiegelt sich auch in den Vorgehensmodellen wieder. Es ist wichtig, dass die Studierenden die zentralen Unterschiede und Einsatzgebiete der einzelnen Modelle verstehen, um sie in der Projektpraxis sinnvoll einzusetzen.

Für ProjektmanagerInnen stellt diese Entscheidungskompetenz, bei neuen Projekten das richtige Vorgehensmodell auszuwählen, einen zentralen Erfolgs- und Karrierefaktor dar!

Für Studierende ohne Projekterfahrung ist es aber oft schwierig, die einzelnen Modelle (Wasserfall, Spiral, Scrum, Kanban usw.) zu verstehen. Eine detaillierte Erklärung jedes Modells kann im Präsenzunterricht daher sehr viel Zeit beanspruchen. Andere Studierende haben vielleicht schon eigene Erfahrungen mit bestimmten Vorgehensmodellen gemacht und benötigen weniger Zeit dafür.

Als Lösung für dieses didaktische Dilemma bietet sich ein Blended Learning-Lernprozess an.

Phase 1: Das Lernen des notwendigen Basiswissen zu den einzelnen Vorgehensmodellen wird im Präsenzunterricht nur initiiert.
Phase 2: Die Studierenden lesen zuhause die ausgeteilte Literatur und erstellen für sich und die KollegInnen Lernmaterialien, die auf die unterschiedlichen Lerntypen Rücksicht nehmen. Somit können alle Studierenden beim Präsenztermin mitdiskutieren.
Phase 3: Im Präsenzunterricht können nun die Vorgehensmodelle verglichen werden sowie hybride Ansätze und Auswahlkriterien für das zum Projekt passende Vorgehensmodell diskutiert werden.
